Fabulous Girls

Hi everyone! I’m so excited for my first blog post here at AWDML! Today I have a layout to share of my fabulous girls, Janet and Maggie! These two love to play, climb on anything and just sing and dance all the time! They’re so much fun.

For this layout I used:

American Crafts Shimelle Haynes

American Crafts Shimelle Goodall

American Crafts Shimelle Embossing Folder Woodgrain

American Crafts Shimelle Ephemera

American Crafts Shimelle Sticker Book

Heidi Swapp Color Shine Mist Gold Lame

American Crafts 12×12 Cardstock Blush

American Crafts Project Life Blush Core Kit

Bo Bunny Paper Doilies Medium

Sewing Machine/Thread

Silhouette Cameo

We rebuilt and repainted my swingset from my childhood for the girls to play on. The bright colors and gold in the Shimelle Collection were perfect for a fun outdoors layout.

I love using patterned papers as my backgrounds and knew this split colored paper would be perfect with my pictures!

Just for fun, I got a package of Bo Bunny Doilies to layer and play with. I decided to spray it with the gold mist and slide it in behind the pictures and layers.

I ran the woodgrain embossing folder, on a piece of blush cardstock, through my Big Shot. Then I layered a cut apart card from the collection and a Project Life card on top. I went through the ephemera pack, found a little photo strip and  printed 4 small pictures at 1 inch by 1 1/2 inches, glued them down on the backside and just cut off the part that hung off the edges.

I cut out the word Fabulous that I bought in the Silhouette store for my title (just search Cursive Fabulous and it’s one of the first ones to show up). Instead of gluing it down, I sewed it down and pulled the edges up to give it a shadowy look.
