Happy Wednesday! Today I have a fun card to share with you using patterned paper, and Christmas paper no less! I call it patterned paper peek-a-boo! My supplies are:
- BoBunny Candy Cane Lane paper
- Poptone cardstock Bubblegum
- Lawn Fawn Penelope’s Blossoms
- Versafine Onyx Black ink
- Poppy Stamps Devyn Butterfly Trio
- Poppy Stamps Emelia Butterfly Trio
- Sizzix Big Shot
I started by selecting plain cardstock and a piece of patterned paper. I also wanted to use the gorgeous butterfly dies and knew that they could mimic the patterned paper peeking out. I cut my pink cardstock in a “v” shape to allow the patterned paper to show through. I then stamped the sentiment and flowers.
These butterfly dies are so much fun. I adhered the solid part of them down to the cardstock, but for the top part I only adhered the middle of the bodies and then gently lifted their wings up for some extra dimension.
I think it’s a fun way to use some patterned paper and if the pattern is right you can even use Christmas paper in spring! Have a great day 🙂
