Cards on Monday

Today I have a small tutorial on one layer layering.  Here is what the end result looks like;

Finished Card

When you look at this, it looks like individual layers. However, look at how I created this card:

1 Line up stamps where to stamp

Lay out stamps

2 Lay cutters

3 Cut out pieces

4 Cut colored paper pieces for outlines

Layer with colored card stock

5 Tape layers together

Adhere white to color, and line up layers and adhere.

Place on card base, and you are done

This technique works really awesome with a scenery card like this:

That’s it for today’s tutorial.  I hope you try this technique.  It’s really fun to play around with the layouts.

Thanks for stopping by~

  1. Karen Knegten says:

    Wow. really clever way to do this layering!

  2. Oh, I am loving this ingenious way to do lay-outs! What a great idea! You constantly amaze me! Thanks, Vicki, for sharing, and BTW, those are two great looking cards. I especially like that “scenery” card, with the wonderful color combo. I am going to have to try this little “cut-out layers” trick myself!
